11/6/2022 - I’m going to use a long-tail cast on and pick up the sts for the collar instead of using a provisional cast on. Hope it works out ok!

Using two yarns with very low contrast for a subtle tree effect.

12/2/2022 - Finished all the “trees.” As saragoose mentioned, using a crochet hook was really helpful, especially for the second leg of the tree.

12/30/2022 - nearly finished with sleeves and then will pick up sts for the collar!

12/31/2022 - finished collar and picking up sts looks just fine, so I am glad I didn’t bother to do a provisional cast on! I was a little worried the fabric was a bit denser than I wanted but blocking has been a miracle!!

I only used about 3.33 skeins. I was worried that the sweater would be way more dense than designed for and that the yoke section with the trees would be a bit scrunchy (see photo with my pup) - but with blocking, the yarn has really bloomed and stretched so I’m super happy with the end result!!
