7/8/2016 - The body knit up quickly, but I’ve found the directions for the pleats and the set up row for the yoke a bit confusing. For example, where the Left Front Pleat instructions say: “Fold the sts on dpn #2 to the back left making sure the purl sides face each other” it would have been more clear to say “Fold the sts on dpn #2 to the back left making sure the purl sides face the purl sides of the sts on the left hand needle.” But this might be because I’ve never done pleats before - maybe this would be clear to knitters who have more experience.
Similarly, for the yoke set up row, I had to think through the casting on… I used the long-tail cast on for the CO sts before the front, but I ended up using the backward loop method for the other CO sts.
Nevertheless, this is an ADORABLE pattern and knitters with a bit of experience can probably muddle through the pattern without more detailed instructions. (After all, while I would have liked more specificity in the instructions, I’ve been able to figure things out so far.)
7/15/2016 - Found a cute pink button today and used duplicate stitch to add a sheep following one of the sheep from this chart…
Also, was just perusing project notes from other knitters - looks like I wasn’t the only one who found the instructions a little confusing. Recommend reading these notes from saradenbo. (She notes that the yoke, line 9 is incorrect - I thought I had somehow messed up that row and ended up off.)
