So I wanted to make this shawl with stash yarn. Problem is, I didn’t have the yardage to make it a 2 color shawl. I had picked up yarn off a sale table some years ago with the intent of making a color work sweater. Problem is, while I like those colors, I never wanted to make a sweater with them because I don’t look good in yellow. I had 4 skeins of the yellow, 1 of brown and one of the orange.

I thought I could make this shawl work with 3 colors instead of 2. I talked with Marci and she confirmed it could be done by by doing the first chart in color A and B, the 2nd chart 1st repeat in color A and C and the 2nd repeat of chart 2 in color A and B.

I just made it with one skien of the brown. I had like a foot left after completing the chart. This meant I had to do the i-cord bind of in either the yellow or the orange. I went with the yellow.

Here are my grams/yds per color:

Color A, Love’s Yellow rose, 1.7g/380 yds (the i-cord bind off was 8.2g/40 yds of this)

Color B, Pecan Pie, 100g/400yds

Color C, Marigold, 50g/200 yds

It’s smaller than I thought it would be. But I still need to block it.
