Knit flat (add 2 sts)…it’s faster and seaming is easy using the mattress stitch

Use a surgeons knot to tie off all the ends

Do all the eyes, and any duplicate stitching before seaming. You can even run the neck yarn before seaming. Just start one stitch in and end one stitch short.
