Notes

The twins want light pink sweaters with brown reindeer and blue ornaments hanging from the antlers. I love this pattern but I just dont love bottom up and even more knitting in pieces. After agonizing about this for weeks, I decided to use strange brew to knit in the round, bottom up and then plan to finish with this pattern once I get to the yoke. I also plan to use red beads for the nose and blue for ornaments.

11-07-2023 Notes on colorwork

I had to use a yarn that was both machine wash and dry. Berroco comfort is my go to for acrylic. I knew going into this that it was not the best choice for color work. For the first sweater, I utilized the LBJ technique for carrying floats. Am not crazy about how that turned out…stitches were not consistent and generally loose. For the 2nd sweater, I went back to my standby of twisting to trap. I feel this method is much less noticeable than the weave technique. Anyway, am liking the 2nd sweater’s color work much better.
