Notes

I lost the band for this yarn. It’s several years old. I think it’s a Mountain Colors Bearfoot, in shades of dark blue with highlights of teal, purple, and light tan. Amount used is less than 1 ball. It’s knitted held double, on 3’s because I like that. Gauge is about six stitches to the inch. Cast on 116 stitches, make 2x2 ribbing until you feel good about it (I am planning on an inch and a half) and then k4, p1; (which will swirl because hat repeats at 4 sts), repeat until hat is tall enough. Three needle bind-off, make tassel ends for hat. Will look more or less like Ocean Baby hat (see other projects) when done.

Total hat height is 7 inches but they want the entirety of his ears covered even if it means hat sits below his eyebrows. I will try to get some action shots once hat is delivered. For now, lookit my fake hat stand!
