Going for the largest size even if it doesn’t give me the extra 14-20 cm to obtain the fit described in the pattern. I would be swimming in fabric with that much extra room

Followed the pattern except for the following modifications:

• Did not knit the cast on stitches with the live stitches after doing the neck ribbing but instead finished the neck by folding the ribbing in half and stitching the cast on edge to the bottom of the neck on the inside
• On round 35 did a M1L instead of a kfb
• Knitted one rnd during which I divided for body and sleeves
• Cast on 8 sts at each underarm
• Stitch count after separating for body and sleeves: sleeves (2 x 53 sts) and body (164 + 2 x 8 (underarm sts))
• Beginning of rnd moved to right underarm
• Bound off the body ribbing in pattern
• Picked up 8 sts at each underarm + 1 st at each side = total of 63 sts for each sleeve
• Decrease to 61 sts at first rnd
• Knit til sleeve measured 32 cm
• Ribbing for sleeve - decreased to 30 sts during first rnd of ribbing (did a p2tog at the end of rnd)
• Knitted 14 rnds of ribbing after decrease rnd (total of 15 rnds of ribbing)
• Bound off in pattern
