4/13/18 - Using DK yarn on size 8 (5mm) needles. Did a swatch and cast on 45 sts, got 3 or 4 inches and measured and this herringbone stitch seems to have pulled in, so it was only 6-1/2 inches wide. Ripped out and cast on 57sts and after a few inches I’m getting about 8-inch width.

4/17/18 - Working on this in-between other projects. Used about 30g of yarn and the scarf is about 10inches long; at this rate, two skeins (200g) should easily be 60-70 inches long. Hopefully I can get more time to work on this so I can get thru it in time! Though easy to memorize, the stitch is a lot slower than I’d like.

5/14/18 - Scarf is approximately 39 inches long and used approximately 120g of yarn. I need to start hauling butt on this to get it done before the end of school!
