This is identical to the brighter green version here, with the same mods: Made as a beret/slouch by increasing 6 repeats to 8, 256 st total. Extended length slightly at crown. Band: increases made on first round after closing band, while still on the smaller needles. Then knit 1 additional row, still on the smaller needles, before starting the knit purl pattern.

Used slightly larger needles than gauge (US 3) for the body. The increase ‘bars’ get hidden in the indent where the band meets the body, and the added repeats enlarging the hat help too, since the body poofs out more from the band.

This hat came out slightly smaller than the green version due to the different yarns. Both look great on and are comfortable. Very nice pattern.

The yarn is gorgeous. This color is now discontinued. Too bad.
