I used a 2-colour cast on and 2-colour braid for the braided trim. Very instructive video here. You can appreciate the design much more when it is done in two colours.

I find the size small to be just a bit too small, even though it was the right one to knit based on my measurements.

I reduced the stitches in the liner to make it fit. Perhaps my yarn choice was a bit too thick.

Overall, a beautiful design, and fun to knit. It was hard on my hands to knit worsted wool at this gauge, but the results are worth it…lovely and very warm. Unfortunately, the Donegal Tweed was not the perfect yarn choice - I find the little flecks of colour somewhat distracting in the colourwork. But I still love them!
