cast on 168 stitches. double colour cast on method grey/white
will pick up the cast on stitches to knit reverse inside rib when finished main hat.
will have a red contrast inside

22nd feb 2011
started cast off for shaping top.
finished shaping and decided to pick up cast on and knit contrast coloured band inside, in saphire blue.
knitted the contrast inside and sewed it up, then promptly un picked it and turned the curling edge up over the outside of the hat. i like it best this way.
