Notes

This is my first ever completed crochet project & I’m really pleased with it.

Although it took a long time I loved crocheting the motifs (I like the rhythm of crochet) and I love the stitch definition you get with cotton.

The yarn’s great (not very splitty at all) - it’s fairly soft & the colours are kind of retro I think, they remind me of old photographs.

One caveat - I would check very carefully in future how crochet motifs are joined in a pattern - sewing together 276 motifs is not a lot of fun! The pattern was actually for a much larger blanket (19 x 15 motifs), I’m glad I decided to make it a cot/pram blanket.

I was very pleased to find out half-way through making this that its intended recipient was going to be a boy - the two main colours are more blue than green, however much I try to convince myself otherwise.
