I’ve been dying to knit this ever since I saw puenktchen’s consequence two years ago. First had to learn a bunch of new skills: both sweater construction and fair isle were things I’d never done. Now, here I am with knitting with confidence and highest complements to the original. I didn’t want to change much right down to the yarn choice, “consequence” was perfect. I LOVE the “Wolke” color! I found great details about the yarn in Wollmeiseholics Anonymous, and a comprehensive list of color names with English name equivalents and descriptions.
Wolke: Cloud - light dove blue. (semi solid)
Perianth: “the outer part of a flower, consisting of the calyx (sepals) and corolla (petals).“
Only mods: Raglan sleeves, blue sleeve cuffs and blue button bands.
Cast on 250 (8 for steek)
Here are the directions for what I did.

Took a week+ break to knit my Akimbo

First sleeve finished. Started with 56 sts and increased to 80. Knitting 3/4 in solid “Wolke” Too much pencil use in my day job to have a light color cuff (although that version is the prettiest!) First sleeve sure ate up the yarn. Had to weigh it but should have 24g left from sleeve skein after 2nd sleeve and 73g from body skein. Think it will be plenty.

First time steeking! I chose to do this during the flight home from Seattle. Seeing as I was already in a stressful situation, I figured I might as well combine anxieties.

This project has been fraught with delays: work obligations, my dad’s knee surgery, and a vacation. Maybe I don’t want to be done, since this was such a big dream of mine to knit. Where will I go from here?

Perfect midcentury buttons from France! I cannot believe they were the ideal color, my computer screen never does this well.
I have 20 grams of Wolke left and plenty of natural. Wish I could have made the body a little longer, but would have needed another skein. Still, the best thing I’ve knit to date. Will be gushing internally for a while about this sweater!
