Notes

These pot holders are inspired by designs by Vivien Hoxsbro and posted on the Rowan Tree Travel website.

The yarn colors are Buttercup Yellow (423), Lime Green (429), Pansy Purple (448), Pale Lilac (446) and Seville Orange (419).

To make the pot holders, cut an 8.5 inch square from an old terry towel and sandwich it between 2 knitted squares, then sew all 3 layers together with binding tape. Remember, materials for a pot holder must hold up to heat so no synthetics allowed. This yarn is 100% cotton, as is the terry towel, as is the binding tape.

I found my binding tape on Etsy - you’ll find a good selection of some super nice prints in 100% cotton. Unfortunately, I have no sewing machine, so the binding tape is hand-sewn throughout.
