CO 85 sts (long tail CO onto right needle)
Turn work and being working back hem in seed stitch
Row 1 (WS): (k1, p1) repeat to end (last stitch should be a knit stitch)
Row 2 (RS): (k1, p1) repeat to end
Rows 3-14: Repeat rows 1 & 2 slipping the first stitch of each row (approx. 2”)
End on RS (to have wrong side showing on final garment)
Place back hem on stitch holder or waste yarn

Work front hem same as back for 10 rows or until approx. 1.5”
End front hem on a RS row.

BODY
Place front & back hem on circular needles to begin working in the round.
Make sure hems are facing the correction directions.

Row 1: Begin working in round BUT before each join of the hems, knit cast on 1 stitch
(hindsight, may not have been necessary or kfb might’ve been better)
Row 2: knit all stitches placing markers at sides in front of the co stitch.
(85 stitches for front, 87 stitches for back)
Total stitches: 172

Rows 11-23: switch to Black
Row 22: Decrease Row : Slip BOR M, k2, k2tog, knit to 4 sts before next marker, ssk, k2, SM, k2 k2tog, knit to 4 sts before BOR M, ssk, k2 (4 sts decreased, Total stitches 168)

Row 33: Decrease Row (Total stitches 164)
Row 34: Black
Row 43: Decrease Row (Total stitches 160)

Split for arm holes, 86 sts for front & back (Place back sts on holder)

UNSURE ABOUT HOW MANY STITCHES I HAD FOR FRONT AND BACK – ABOVE SAYS 85 FOR FRONT AND 87 FOR BACK. I RECALL HAVING TO K2TOG ON BOTH FRONT AND BACK TO MAKE EYELET PATTERN WORK OUT. AH HA! WHEN I DIVIDED I DID IT EVENLY, MOVING ONE STITCH FROM BACKSIDE TO FRONTSIDE (DIVIDED IT EVENLY)

FRONT: (WORKED FLAT)
Row 1: Knit (knitted first stitch)
Row 2: slip first stitch, Purl to last 3 sts, k2tog (slip knit wise & purl through front), k1
(85 sts for Front)
Row 3: slip first stitch, P3, knit to last 4 sts, P3, k1
Continue slipping first stitch of each row and knitting last stitch.
Row 4: slip 1, k3, purl to last 4 sts, k4
Repeat Rows 3 & 4 four more times. (12 rows total from divide)
Row 13: changed to pattern color (black) Repeat Row 3 & 4 (end on Row 15)
Rows 16-44: START EYELET PATTERN (eyelet pattern on even numbered rows, purl odd numbered rows, slipping first stitch and knitting last stitch)
