I saw this pattern when it first came out in Knitty Winter 2011, and thought “No way in hell I can make this. To many colors. “

Then I venture out last year with 3 shawls, and a mini shawl.

The pattern was easy to understand.

This is the blocking stage. Will try to post more later.

It was very different. I enjoyed knitting this project. I enjoyed getting it off the needle and blocking it, just see how I can block this. I did not block it round. I end up with the flu after a concert last weekend. Monday 10Dec2012 I blocked this shawl laying on the tiles pinning.

Well I had a lot of yarn 600 yards of the Ultra Alpaca a project that was frogged and went nightmare wrong. over 2000 yards of the Gloss Brown Fingering. A test knit sweater pattern that went wrong.

These yarns did not speak to any of these project except this one.

I doubled the fingering yarn. I still have so much of this crap left over.

It’s amazing what you can do when you’re sick, and to curious too stay in bed.

It’s a good chance I will get the ebooks, and buy a 2 patterns I do want to try.

Update 3/6/2015: Still my favorite winter to go wrap, since it has been in the single digits here in the North East. Still get complements. I have washed it 6 times and blocked it each time.
