I had my friend pick out colors that he liked, and then I went from there. He liked some of the really deep greens, dark gray, dark brown, etc. I added a few lighter colors to help the pattern pop with the colors. Some of them I had on hand, others I had to purchase. (but mostly I had to purchase them)

At first I was going to use more colors and you can see by the image I have up where I was planning the project, but as I started to make it, I thought I would play safe and stick closer to the colors that my friend picked, and it is turning out nicely as is. I can save the other yarns for other projects.

(P.S. This project took a long time to finish as it sad all summer in hibernation and then I finished it and did not get a chance to upload finished project photos. But it is done now! And, now it will be shipped to the recipient)
