I did most of this blanket with a D hook (3.25mm). I just came to my project page here to update stuff, and was shocked I had listed an F hook (3.75mm). It’s possible I started off with the F and changed to the D. oops? But I like how it looks with the D hook, so… good! Also, I do tend to crochet loosely.
I bought six colors of green. I am using only five of them for the body of the blanket. I followed the pattern to switch colors like I was going to use all six, because that was the original plan, but the blanket is pretty big and I’m running out of time, so stopping the body at five colors will be fine… the last color will just have an extra row, for the ending.
May 28th, 2024 - it’s DONE! I opted to stop the border after three rounds as it looked like plenty. This means the blanket itself has none of the lightest green in it (Lincoln) but that’s okay. I’m also pretty sure I did start the blanket with an F hook and changed to a D partway through, because the darkest color is rippling some. Oops. Ah well. I used an F hook for the white border.
I’m unsure of yarn usage for the last two colors--I neglected to weigh my yarn, so I just put in estimated usage.
According to my spreadsheet, this took 35 hours, 6 minutes to make, with the majority of it being done in May 2024.
