Notes

I bought this yarn ages ago, intending to use it for the 12” Block CAL, but after making one block I decided that the completed afghan would be thinner than I’d like. So I did a bunch of searching and discovered this pattern, which looks to be more substantial. I really like how it’s coming out so far.

11/01/08 Uh, so yeah. The afghan was getting wavy as well as ripply--it would NOT lay flat. Turns out that I’ve forgotten how to do my stitches, and was doing tr instead of dc. D’oh! I’m not going to frog it; I like the pattern enough that I want one for myself, too. So I’ll restart mom’s, and then continue on with this one later for myself. Don’t care if mine is frakked up.

I think I’ll be frogging and starting over. The width is supposed to be 40 inches, and I’ve got only 29. It is wide enough to cover me, but not as wide as I’d like. I think I’ll go up several hook sizes (K) rather than add repeats.
