This is my first Yumiko pattern. It was very easy to follow and I must say that it is best to trust the pattern and block the two flat sections before sewing it together. I would also suggest to stick with the measurements as written for the width. If your knitted piece grows larger than the measurements in the schematic, then I would add to the length, not the width.

Springvale DK was a joy to work with. So springy and drapy an soft. I will definitely work with that one again.
