modifications - working centre cable panel
- long tail cast on 34sts

• welts are 18 sts wide

mattress stitching the seams - into the cable gap first, the welt gap second.

30 May - seat cushion upset complete. Picked up yesterday all around the edges for the backing. Working (2 decr round, 1 plain) x 2, then 2 more decr. Switched today to 6mm addi click for third round on long cord. So much easier.
21 May - finished the welts!! Washed and out to dry. Picked up sts across back of upright cushion. Have knit 10 rows. Need to check against cushion form but too tired to get up!
18 may - 31 welts. so almost there! will have enough to do the top back of the back cushion. likely have to pull out rivet (dark grey) to compete cushion backs. need to also wash this seat cushion before deciding on final size.
17 May - almost finished welt 26. Got good knitting done during work meeting
16 may - 16 welts done, 20 to go
15 May - I powered my way through the Olympic forest baby blanket. Now it’s time for this one. 12 out of 36 welts done for right hand side of seat. Coincided perfectly w last episode of felicity. Thank goodness she ends up with Ben.
14 May 2021 - oh wow, that long?? 36 welts. Almost finished left side of seat so just the right side to go.
8 oct - yay, 30 welts
7 oct - 24 welts
6 oct - 20 welts done
4 oct - 18 welts done
3 oct - worked seventh welt and cast on further 20 sts on pick up row.
2 oct 20 - seamed back cushion cover up. Still needs a back. Seat needs to be 13 cables long. 7 welts for depth of cushion, then cast on more sts for side depth. And I think I should use a difft yarn to seam, sth w nylon in it perhaps (alas). Six welts done.

26 May - ack, made a mistake matching up the centre panel and the right panel (the first one I knit). Undid seaming on both sides, restarted. Both side panels are now a welt too long so will need to rip back and reknit a bit. Yay, more yarn for seat. Am going to complete back cushion and wash before continuing on seat to get a better idea of finished fabric.
23 may - doing twelfth middle cable on seat. still have 484gm. Thirteenth centre cable done
22 may - knit some more on the cable panel for the seat.
21 May - back cushion 423gm
18 may - finished side panel
15 May - 16 welts done
11 jan - finished the right-hand panel of welts, 27 in all. cast off the side panel sts after 24.
8 jan 20 - 20 welts done!
6 jan 20 - am working on the welts. 10 done.
10 nov - 9 rpts worked. I think that for the back cushion am almost there. Will cable and work 3 more rows then cast off and pick up sts along sides of cable panel. Plan to pick up 9sts per 12 rows.
29 oct - frogged yesterday’s attempt and went down to 6.5mm needle. working two at a time, set up and two rpts done
28 oct 19 - two rpts of cable panel and about a third of the way through the height of the back cushion.
