how long is it before it becomes stash yarn?

op shop ribon, i think from vinnies bentleigh
buttons from lincraft, albury

14 jull - buttons sewn on.
11 july - 16 rounds after sixth incr, then i-cord bind off
7 July - left sleeve done. i-cord cuff grafted. Body i-cord edging grafted.
2 july - decrs finished on left sleeve. 9 rounds bw decr 1 and 2. i’ve really had trouble counting on this project.
1 July - started on left sleeve. Picked up 6 sts, k held sts, picked up 6 sts. Decreased extra sts out on next round. Then k 12 rounds (4cm). Two decr rounds worked
28 june - i-cord finished on body, just need to graft final three sts to first three sts
24 june - almost finished i-cord across live sts at hem.
23 jun - worked sixth buttonhole. few rows until 4th body incr. currently 18cm length below underarm, aiming for 24, ~16 more rows. (realising that i bought this yarn 8 years ago)
21 jun - got so far as dropping down sts to fix buttonholes
20 jun - two body incrs and 4 buttonholes but I’ve done the last row buttonholes 16 rows apart. Grrrr. Will do sweater surgery tomorrow.
18 jun - worked third buttonhole. Six rows to go before starting incrs. Was wrong on row counts for next buttonhole. It’s every 14 rows.
17 jun - separated sleeves and body. Need to knit 4cm before starting body incrs. Next row is 13. Remember buttonhole on 17. Very happy to finally be using this yarn.
15 jun - incrs complete. Back measures about 9cm. Looking to knit 13cm.
14 jun 21 - actually cast on. Shorts rows a - d done.
