20 oct - used 4.5mm for the i-cord bind off. Cast i-cord sts off on the last joining row (that is, when had 4 sts left). I calculated on 224gm of dusk but shawl weighs 230 and have 4gm left.
19 oct - just over 100 sts yet to bind off. Have enough yarn. V happy.
18 oct - row 198 done.
17 oct - 20 rows (row 190). Goal is 202, then i-cord bind-off
16 oct - 16 rows!
15 oct - 8 rows done. Tedious moss st.
13 oct - section I, 2 rows done. part H complete. I recalculated percentages based on 112gm balls and 206 rows (4 more than pattern to represent i-cord bind off). Hopeful that I’ll have enough yarn.
12 oct - row 16 done

10 oct - part G done. Part H, row 7 done.
7 oct - part F complete. Reached halfway through pattern (row 142) and still have a little of first ball to go. Row 145 is the last of ball 1. Part G, 8 rows done.
6 oct - 14 rows of part F done
5 oct - 6 rows of part F done (12 to go)
4 oct - part E done
yay, 30 per cent of the way through but have used only 25 per cent of the yarn. Confident that I’ll have enough for the shawl.
