I made the medium size hat and found it was too small for me. I’d guess it will fit a young child. Looking forward to making this hat again. The pattern was easy to follow and it worked out perfectly.
I think I’d like this hat in a slouchy style. To get that, though, more “rounds” would be needed (what I’m calling a round is the sequence of rows it takes to get a row of bobbles). Easy enough to do, but it would take more yarn than most skeins will likely be. As I made it, there is one extra “round” and I found that I had just enough yarn in the 204-yard skein to make this hat.
I want to say, too… I love this yarn - Red Heart Soft Prints in Plummy. It was the perfect amount of variegation. Colors are evenly distributed and color changes blend well together. Love it! The second set of pictures to the left are more accurate in color. It tends toward the pink/purple of the second two pictures, as opposed to the blue/purple of the first two. I have a feeling in the daylight this hat will brighten more. It’s just a really pretty combination of colors. Gotta get me more of this yarn. :)

This hat can be turned inside out and a slightly different pattern emerges. Instead of “bobbles” that circle the hat, subtle ridges appear. The last two pictures (to the side) show the ridges (sort of). I’m not sure which side I prefer. Kind of neat that it can be worn both ways.
