It was a pleasure to knit.
Such a lovely pattern; well written and nicely presented, the instructions are clear and straightforward, easy to follow. It knits up pretty fast! I loved every single row of this project and I’m more than happy with the finished garment.

Mods:

• smaller gauge to get denser fabric
• 7 full repeats of the lace panel, instead of 6

And the yarn… oh, the yarn! It’s a pure bliss to knit with, it feels like heaven. It’s so shiny and soft, it’s stunning. Definitely the best yarn I’ve had in my hands so far. Dani kindly dyed it for me in the colourway that I loved the most (October) and I think the choice was right for this pattern. And this yarn blocks beautifully!

This Avalon is going to be my special occasions stole. I just love it.
