Omg so there are 2 of these patterns, the only differences seem to be the photos and the yarn type. The amount of errors didn’t get fixed in this version.
Color coding is wrong starting after the sweater yoke…the numbers are wrong, I cast on for a L I thought and ended up with a M stitch count after the yoke so I, just winging it. I heavily modified this anyway, changing the distances between rib sections.
Will prob send yarnspirations an email after this is done but wow. Do they not proofread even?!
This is the newer pattern with less projects - https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/rib-knit-top-dow...
SAME MISTAKES THOUGH
NOTES
Did old Norwegian CO and did 2-color corrugated ribbing. https://mabelmabeldotcom.wordpress.com/2013/04/21/conquer...
Every 3 stitches per color I’m doing ladderback jacquard. So it’s taking a bit of time.
10/21 I’m at round 51 and it’s taking me about 21 mins per round now.
This is the newer version of this pattern, but all the errors are the same. Including the flat lay photo being inside out,?

10/22
- 288 stitches before sleeve divide. (Will add notes eventually)
- did 10 rounds after sleeve divide
- the more I look at some of my ladderback spots the more I hope they block out ok eek.
- need to figure out a way to do the edges of the end flaps I want to do without curling (and BO)
10/25
Up to round 43 of the body (will it ever end???)
I measured a sweater I like and it as 15” below armpit with 2” rib. I want to do some weird edges with this so I’ll have to keep trying it on until I get the length I want.
11/29 - After blocking, the ladderback Jacquard was still pulling where I didn’t want it to (right on the bust) soooo I cut it and will be reworking the entire thing from just above the sleeve divide. ONLY USE ONE LADDERBACK stitch when in doubt. I undid the 2nd one I had going because securing/finishing it was doing the pulling.
When will I learn to like, stop and not just keep going if something doesn’t feel/seem right? Maybe I need to get it printed on a shirt: IT WILL NOT BLOCK OUT.
- add colors used for Enoch once I figure those out.
12/9 did rounds 2-11 of the body (have to get to 50)
12/29 - got to round 20
** will need to undo original sweater bottom for the yarn at some point **
12/31
- finished body (did 55 rounds from armpit)
- finished pumpkin base and most of the light orange pieces
1/1/24 - all pumpkin parts are blocking
- still working on the first sleeve.
1/2/24
Finished the sleeves and did the bottom hem with my knitting machine woooo
1/3/24
Finished the Enoch appliqué…but his nose is slightly off center so I’ll fix it once it dries.
Wove in all sweater ends.
Soaking the sweater overnight. Then blocking.
I kind of wish I’d tapered it a bit more toward the bottom but oh well. I’ll just be glad to get this thing DONE.
1/7 - used Fabritac to glue the pumpkin to some felt, then sewed magnets to the back. Calling this one done, just need to get photos. Perfect for you know, winter. 0_0
