This is for my daughter’s cat Jimmy. Following cajomano’s schematic to cut down on seaming. Also going to try to use foam I have left over from other projects and old cushions.

Cajomano’s schematic is awesome and saved me from unnecessary seaming and fiddling with little parts. Instead of making the ruffle separately and sewing it on, I crocheted it directly onto the base before putting all the parts together and made it a little fuller. I also followed the suggestion to tie the backrest and arms with string before sewing them onto the base. This keeps the folded foam inside from popping open or out while you are trying to sew the pieces together. Thankfully the crochet stitch pattern easily disguises any less than even sewing stitches. OMG this thing is so cute.

Decided to make a little afghan because I’ve already lost my mind making this on a whim so why not? Using the Meandering Cat Paws pattern. I don’t have enough yarn to make it all one color so will do wide stripes with the pillow colors.
