The large squid started it all; it was made as a baby gift for my good friend Brooke. The little one with the huge eyes was the prototype for the design. The slightly larger one with the scalpel (the very floppy scalpel) was made for a surgeon who liked the in-progress prototype. The purple was a freeform made by my husband; it’s also a mutant - 11 tentacles.

I did not measure the yarn used - not very much. The small ones are finger puppet size. The larger is about the length of my forearm.

The fins are done in tunisian crochet with the larger hook.
