Using the dimensions of this pattern for super fast and easy knit for a frozen ballerina in Wyoming. Cast on 40, b/o 18 for heel. Used cable cast-on to add back stitches after the heel bind-off. Added a simple freestyle cable just to the side of the calf for some visual interest. I did change the top rib to 16 rows instead of 4 by converting top 1 1/2 inches of stockinette to 2 x 2 rib.

Using Berroco Comfort for easy washability and soft soft feel, but am worried that acrylic isn’t springy enough for this. Comments about the yarn’s “droopiness” and splits were sadly accurate. But much softer than many acrylics. However, the static cling of yarn makes it a good “Swiffer”.

Made exactly to pattern dimensions, but would do a little longer and wider next time for slouchier fit (but not in this yarn :-) If I knit again I would definitely do in the round to avoid the seam. If you are knitting on straights, you might want to modify to move both seams to the inside.
