11/16/12 Finished!! Decided to add a surface crochet border in Frost around the doubleknit center on the main colour side for a couple reasons. Ryder has arrived and that gives the blanket a touch of blue, plus the natural carry over was showing through a bit on the charcoal side, so the Frost disguised that nicely. Overall, I love it. It’s every bit is heavy and warm and squishy-soft as I thought it would be.

10/28/12 Moving on to the final checkered border. Hoping to be finished within the week.

10/07/12 Passing the half-way mark on the blanket. Double knitting is going well, and the pattern is looking very much as I’d envisioned it. Very happy with it so far.

08/06/12 Past the garter border and into the double knitting now. Going well for my first attempt at doubleknit.

07/27/12 This design is my own concoction, combining the idea of a simple doubleknit Hoover baby blanket with a modified version of the sheep chart from the Double Ewe scarf to create what should be a very warm, if not very large, baby blanket. Quite suitable for a winter baby, I think.
