Pattern calls for Cascade 220 Superwash. Yarn was recommended by my LYS as they didn’t have the Superwash. It is very soft and has a lot of spring. Even though I obtained the correct gauge, I feel that the vest appears rather large for a 18 month size. The picture appears to have a seed stitch band at the back of the neck but the pattern does not. Therefore, I crochet a single crochet row to stop the dreaded garter stitch roll. I think it finished it off quite nicely. I chose the teddy bear from the three animal choices and knit a teddy bear with a sweater to match. I barely had enough blue to finish the bear’s sweater. I had about three inches of yarn left when I finished. Will definitely do more of these vests.
