I saw this yarn at the 2012 Midwest Fiber Fair knitted into a shimmery lace shawl that was like nothing I had ever seen before. They were sold out of the color way the shawl was knit in and none of my local yarn stores carried this yarn. Lucky for me, Webs carried the yarn and had a hank in stock. This was a Christmas present from my boys. Xoxoxo!

Very quick crochet project. I love the simplicity of this “go to” pattern. This yarn is breathtakingly beautiful with its fine metallic thread running throughout. It is quite elegant. I searched for the perfect pattern for this special yarn only to return to one of my favorite patterns. The South Bay pattern allows for the bold colors of this yarn to mingle together in a complimentary fashion to create a stunning result which looks more complicated than it really is. I couldn’t be happier with the finished project.

I improvised the border from Doris Chan’s All Shawl border. I also did a sc border across the top.
