I added some short rows to the collar, I hope i like the way it turns out. What are the cons of adding short rows?

My first FO of 2021. Such a simple sweater but hopefully very useful. Here are some notes in case I want to make this again as I made some mods to the pattern:

• added short rows to the collar
• Used 3.75mm for all ribbing
• sleeve decreases on the row before the cuff
• Bottom hem is 1.5”
• Cuffs are 2.5”

The yarn is lovely, for years I shied away from using sock yarn (with nylon) for garments other than socks. I felt the items didn’t hold their shape after blocking and washing. This feels like a good pattern to see if I can let this idea go once and for all.

I did very little alternating with this yarn, just on the lower body when I started running out of the first skein. The skeins were pretty consistent.
