Notes

Cast on 70 stitches with Jigsaw Knits’ stretchy cast on.

Knit 20 rows in half twisted rib then started the cable and star stitch pattern on the front/top of the sock.

Used eye of partridge heel with a 3 stitch garter stitch border (would leave out the garter stitch border if I made these again).

Did reverse stockinette stitch in the gusset.

Used the toe shaping from Hermione’s Everyday Socks modified for the greater number of stitches.

If i remade these I’d probably expand the star stitch section by 4 stitches or use a different yarn and larger needles because these were pretty tight. Fortunately they fit my mom’s feet (size 7) and they were meant for her, but they would be too small for me (size 9).

I would also use different yarn. This yarn was very prone to splitting and breaking, which made the k3togs in the star stitch portion particularly annoying.
