Another thneed! Heh, since the Sugar on Snow hat has two functions, I figured that it’d be a good way to test Bernat Boa as thneed yarn. I figured that Boa would hold up to the constant shifting of the drawstring better than the Angel Hair yarn would.
However, I didn’t do this as “to the pattern” as my other Sugar on Snow cowl: I knit this flat in garter stitch because I thought it’d be easier to knit that way due to all the fuzz, then seamed it. I did still do the eyelets. I do kind of wish that I had cabled it instead of garter stitched it; it has a tendency to stretch out to being wide and skinny instead of staying relatively tall and stable like my other SoS cowl. If I stretch it out, it does work as a hat better than my other one (though not quite perfect - I may go back and try to add a few rows to the bottom).
It does add a bit of warmth to my Once-ler costumes, though! I have already worn it on a cold, windy night with my green suit. Unfortunately I forgot to get someone to take a photo of me wearing it with the costume. x.x
