Notes

The zombie finger chapstick cozy was inspired by this pattern: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/monster-finger-ch...

These are simple knit versions of the patterns rather than faithful reproductions, although I did crochet the straps and the retina. I knit them because I am more familiar with knitting and only just learned a few crochet stitches a day or so before I did the crochet details. I improvised a few details, such as adding a tongue, shaping the mouth differently, adding eyebrows, etc. For the tongue, I held three strands of embroidery floss together (two salmon pink strands, one hot pink strand).

I decided to make these to go along with my “Schrodinger’s cat” costume, which is half-alive, half-zombie, but it will also work for Halloween and if I make other zombie-themed costumes in the future. I thought they’d be cute accessories. I’m rather pleased with this set. :3 The cotton phone pouch feels so soft and it was enjoyable to knit. I need to make more cotton things.
