Notes

I prefer to call this, “From Crimea With Love.”

This yarn is Absolute Luxury. I won’t give this to just anybody.

The pattern is worth doing again. It’s pretty, and every newcomer to Canada should be given one of these upon arrival!

The cables give it stretch.
KS designer - the word “balaclava” is named after a village in Ukraine.

Слава Україні!

I did one fewer cable repeat on the neck, and it’s still longer than necessary. In future, do 2 fewer repeats.

BO method - I tried several - settled on Jeny’s Surprisingly Stretchy Bind-off. Used the same 5mm needle with regular tension.

It needs blocking to make the opening relax.

A pompom would probably look weird.

Add label.
