WAIT A MINUTE!
The question marks and music notes are backwards!
I didn’t notice because the charts are upside-down. Duh!
Okay, for the second sock, I’m going to mirror the charts.
Also, I removed 2 sts of the question marks so they don’t look like barbed fishhooks.

I have made a choice that will make more work for me. The stars can only be lemony yellow, in my mind. But I feel like the upside-down question marks should be blue. Actually I wish they were right-side-up, but this is fine.

This means I will have to do 3-colour stranded knitting. Ugh! And the inside will need ladder-back jacquard, because I don’t like long floats, or contrast yarn show-through.

Yes, it’s very fiddly, but it’s only 11 rounds, and seeing the stars appear row by row keeps me going. It’s not as bad as I feared.

In Banjo Kazooie, the honeycombs, puzzle pieces and music notes are all golden yellow.
To break up the repetitive colour, I’m changing the background colour in that section.

Michelle, my niece, designed these in memory of my precious son Max, who went to Heaven when he was 8 years old.
Our other son, Max’s brother, is alive and well; he is a fine young man who fills us with joy and makes us all proud every day.

In hindsight, this was probably too many colours. But these video games are very colourful!
