I found some yarn with sparkle!
Purple - doubled - for hooves & horn.
Horn: knit backwards (from tip to base): start from the fold in a doubled length of yarn; no end to darn in!
Pink - doubled - for mane & tail.

Eyes?

Main “body” is 1 stitch wider. In hindsight that was unnecessary for a child’s scarf.
