Knit 1 round of black before decreasing as follows:
R1 - k11, CDD, (k10, CDD to end of round)
R2 - knit (k every even row)
R3 - k9, CDD, (k8, CDD rep. to end of round)
R5 - k7, CDD, (k6, CDD rep. to end of round)
R7 - k5, CDD, (k4, CDD rep. to end of round)
R9 - k3, CDD, (k2, CDD rep. to end of round)
R11 - k1, (CDD around)
Knit one round, draw yarn through remaining 8sts and weave in the end.
DON’T FORGET TO WEAVE IN ALL OF THE ENDS BEFORE CLOSING THE TOP OF THE HAT!
