A complete crochet package by needlelicious. New stitch to me: something they call a loop stitch, which is basically a dc, but when you put your hook through a stitch, you loop the yarn around your finger before pulling it through, creating a loop at the back of your work.
My friend Sanne gave it to me already a while ago. She likes sheep, but in the end she thought this was a bit too much for someone who hasn’t done a lot of crochet before. So I will make the sheep.

Haven’t done much in a while, but I started feeling some stirrings of interest again a few days ago…

Finished the ears, which had a few colour changes. I knew that you change colour on the last loop of the previous stitch. But I don’t think I’ve done this befit while working in the round while closing rounds (so no spiral). Turns out, you should change colour before you pull through the last loop of the Last regular stitch of the round. That means that the slip stitch that you use to close the round is already in the new colour, and that looks best. Then you make a chain, and do the first stitch of the next round in the same stitch where you did the slip stitch. That was never clear to me before, I usually counted the slip stitch as a stitch and moved on to the next one. That way, your chain lies sideways instead of up, which is visible in your work, and it moves around, since the start of your rounds shifts one stitch each round.
