Leticia Lebron
Hi everyone,
I’m Leticia a wife and stay-at-home mom to my 8 beautiful kids… 3 boys and 5 girls. I live on St Croix, the largest island of the 4 Virgin Islands. This island is where I get most of my inspirations and I still haven’t seen everything yet!
I am a certified natural skincare formulator with a focus on caring for the skin during pregnancy breastfeeding, and throughout the motherhood journey. I also have a bachelor’s Degree in Internet Marketing as I was determined to get this group going! I began taking classes to get my degree in floral design, which will help me to share lots of great uses for our flowers, but life didn’t allow me to complete my courses. I will in the near future! :) (Yes I do all this with 6 little ones!!!) I have a really big heart as I get pleasure out of helping others. Besides my family, this group is what keeps me going!
I don’t have a degree in biology, but I do spend every spare time I have researching and learning about the beautiful flowers that God (and man) have created. This allows me to share what I know about these beauties. I think we’ll all understand each bloom on a more personal level if we understand them from within.
Flowers were always a part of my life… they always made me feel alive! Over the years, I got so obsessed with them to the point where whenever I see a new bloom, I get over-excited and get Goosebumps. Unfortunately, I am allergic to these beautiful blooms :(. However, I don’t allow my sniffles to stop me… I’m that determined to have them around!
This is how Flawless Crochet Flowers was born. Although I still get fresh flowers, they really, really act up my allergies, which can be extremely annoying. For this reason, I’ve decided to create my own garden of gorgeous crochet blooms. As long as God continues to give me life, I will always be creating flowers. My main goal is to create fun and easy-to-do crochet flowers that I can share with you!
I think my skills have grown so much since I created this group just a year and a half ago. (Wow time has flown by) I started creating flowers using worsted-weight yarn, and I loved them, but it was just not enough for me. It was not close enough to the real blooms. So I went thinner and thinner with threads and decided that #10 thread was the winner!
Here’s what crochet flowers do for me. As we all go through tough times in life… especially when you have 7 little ones, it can be very stressful. I’ve found flowers to boost my energy and help keep me calm. Crocheting them really takes the stress off of my mind and helps me to be a better person. Most importantly, it allows me to have beautiful arrangements without allergies, without worries about watering my plants, and no worries of chemical pesticides, and I know I’ll have them for a lifetime! Although they can never replace the beauty of bright, fresh-smelling flowers, I think they come pretty close to getting the job done. What makes it all better, is how I can get the whole family to join in on the fun!
