This design is quick and easy.
Totally reversible.
Elected to work all dc into the ‘second’ back loop to get the lined pattern shown.

Made this to go with a scarf: Willow Hoptree Scarf.

Worked 56 st so it wasn’t too snug.
Worked 8 rows 2 x 2 rib, knitted in the round, then worked patt from dc rows on up.

As written, the hat is planned to be snug because the beg rows of sc do not have a lot of stretch. 19” circumf may not be right for everyone.
