The designer explains very clearly where to place markers. It is imperative to place them all. It is also important to have a system so you can discern one marker and area from another later on.

Conquer the Short Row:
For fine shaping, the designs use short rows thru out. They are nothing to be concerned about. In garments, I’ve always used Japanese short rows, but one needs locking markers for those, which is impractical for these designs.
The designer uses wrap and turn short rows, which are explained in her pattern. One becomes adept at them straight away. The pattern doesn’t explain how to close up the wrap, but there’s online videos for that, if needed.

Pattern doesn’t state to bind off the tail stitches, but one needs to finish the tail end via bindoff or by securing the live stitches.

The construction of the back legs / feet was a little unusual.
